July proved to be a successful month for raising money for the Acworth Meetinghouse Restoration Project. Two events in early July, the Pancake Breakfast and the Steeple Celebration which was held the following weekend, raised just over $7,000.

The Female Charitable Society’s Annual Auction took place on the last Saturday in July under a tent next to the north side of the church. The auction was well attended, the day was bright and the Female Charitable Society’s hard work paid off. The auction raised over $3,000.

Two large prints (42" x 21") of the Church on the Hill, made by Guy Russell from a painting by Jerry Pfohl, also sold in July which will bring in just under $2,000.

Although July was a lucrative month for Meetinghouse Restoration fundraisers, there is still a long way to go before there will be enough money to completely restore the Meetinghouse.
