"I  have been using online technology for the past three years in running  a private middle  school academy," said Tracy. "I have taken those programs along with many others to create both the "brick and mortar" and the virtual school.  I use WebEx to make it possible for me to do direct teaching with students from anywhere in the world.  I will also be doing teacher and parent workshops through the school on the technology I use as well as the Lexile system for reading."

School Philosophy: Mistacre School is a virtual learning environment which allows students to maximize their learning through the technology of the internet. Students have a program designed to meet their unique learning style and needs and eliminates the competitive and comparison education of today's system.

Public schools do well in educating some students. However it is important to recognize students whose style of learning does not fit the public school pattern. Some are faster in their learning while others are slower. Some learn better with hands on while others are visual or auditory learners. All students do not comprehend at the same rate. Mistacres School is here for those students.

Who do we help: Struggling students, gifted, home-schoolers, military families, homebound students. Any child who is motivated to learn will be successful here.

K-8 Program: We have a comprehensive K-8 program which provides a strong and motivating learning environment to our students. Our excellent and well designed curriculum, based on the Core Knowledge Sequence, is used to design and implement a program for each learner and their unique style of learning. Teacher support as well as 1 on 1 and small group lessons are available 7 days a week. Students are allowed to learn their way, at times of the day that maximize their learning with the help and support that they need when they need it. Our goal is their success.

Our experience has proven that any child who wishes to learn will reach their goals with the right support and programs. Mistacres School is available for any student K-8. The only pre-requisite is that students have the desire to be a learner and have a family willing to assure the student has the time and materials to complete the programs.

Tracy Hanson, principal and teacher, is a highly qualified NH certified teacher licensed in both elementary and special education as well as administrator. She is also a Supplemental Service Provider for the state of NH, licensed Wilson teacher  and Irlen Syndrome screener.

Tracy has had over 30 years of experience in both public and private school working with children birth through 8th grade. During that time she has developed a network with many nationally known educational companies and has used their resources to move towards creating a technology based learning environment. Over the past three years, this philosophy was put into place in a private alternative middle school with excellent success. Thus, the birth of Mistacres School.
