FIREWOOD
Grant Taylor is now taking orders for firewood for summer delivery. The price is $175.00 per cord with the first 15-mile delivery free. Good mixed hardwood, cut to your stove size, fully insured, with an extra bit added to each cord so you have a full measured cord, split with a 6 way splitter. Grant has a two-cord dump truck, so odd number cords have an extra delivery charge. Please let Grant know if you need any wood, and pass the word to your neighbors.

LATE BLIGHT
Disease confirmed in Maine and Massachusetts.
Late blight, the fungal disease that devastated commercial and backyard-garden crops of tomatoes and potatoes throughout most of New England and the Mid-Atlantic states last summer was confirmed on tomatoes in both Maine and Massachusetts on July 19, 2010.
UNH Cooperative Extension Plant Health Specialist Cheryl Smith urges home gardeners to monitor crops diligently for signs of the disease.
